Hi, I’m Rachel Rowlands! I’m a copyeditor and proofreader of non-fiction books.
My editorial career began back in 2017, and since then, I’ve worked on over 200 books, with a background spanning across commercial fiction, non-fiction, and tech publishing. Having such a varied career means I’ve developed a strong editorial eye and an awareness of what’s important to authors. When I edit, I focus on the details and corrections – but always maintain your own style and voice. Your work deserves to still sound like you!

Over the course of my career, I’ve worked with independent authors and publishers from all around the world on fiction and non-fiction books, including Penguin Random House, Thread Books, Hashtag Press, HarperCollins, Audible, and Hachette. Eaves Editorial was established as a dedicated home for non-fiction editing, and for authors looking for a qualified editor with industry experience.
Why trust me with your book?
I take my role as an editor very seriously and I’m always brushing up on my skills, even after almost a decade!

Behind the name…
I carry out my work from a loft conversion, tucked away above the rest of the house and near the eaves, which is where the name of my non-fiction editing business came from! It’s quiet, with a lovely view of the birds and trees outside – the perfect place for concentrating on your book!
